No fridge meant that everything had to be bought from the AVI daily or a short trip to the Safeway across the river. We were on a tour of Arizona / California from the UK with 3 children (14.11.9)and although had no interest in gaming, the accommodation was both good value and clean - although there are a lot of smokers! We had two interconnecting rooms both with two king sized beds. The AVI is about 8 miles outside of Laughlin. Ice cream parlor is also only open on the weekends. Also a movie theater on premises which I think is only open on weekends. There is a kids arcade and play area for climbing in the tubes like you would see at a McDonalds. Next time though, I'm bringing my own coffee maker and purified water for coffee and tea in the mornings. That being said I would stay there again. The water had the worst taste i have ever tasted. The tap water was very hot so we thought we could make tea. I guess the newer, more expensive rooms have refrigerators but no mention of anything else. i must say that this room had no microwave, coffee maker or refrigerator. The food court, Sbarro-pizza, Subway and Panda Express were a 2 minute walk from the room, super convenient. It was right next to the pool and beach access was just a 3 minute walk. Some rooms have been renovated but these were dated. Had a room at the Beach Tower on the bottom floor. Stayed there 2 nights checking out May 18. I honestly had to stop myself from laughing. Then they had the audacity to ask if I wanted to stay another day. When we asked for a late checkout, they refused saying that if we stayed passed the checkout time we would be charged for the full day. Good thing my brother packed some old spice and we just used his for the night. Also had to call and ask for extra toiletries and towels, & when they gave them to us, they forgot the the main thing: the soap. We arrived around 2, and weren’t able to get to our rooms until 6. If you lose your wristband, you’re not able to get a replacement(unless you brought your old one with you to the front desk). They just wouldn’t let no one in without them. They were a tad bit too strict with the wristbands. However, my family & I had a overall good experience. It is in the middle of nowhere, so if you plan on going out every night, this hotel might not be for you.
